Thinking about Bipolar Disorder

Reading about Dunkin helped me to better understand the inner struggles someone with bipolar disorder can face on a daily basis. Watch this video where Maggie tells the true account of her life with bipolar disorder.

After reading about Dunkin and listening to Maggie's story, what do you think is important to remember about bipolar disorder?

  1. Something we think is important to remember about bipolar disorder is, there are ways to help. Like Maggie said there are support groups that can help, talking about things is usually helpful. There are medications that can help calm down.

  2. I found this powerful. Everyone reaches a low in there life, whether it be health problems, family problems, friend problems, sports or school problems, or any type of problem, everyone faces them. For her to be able to come out and talk to people about it is extremely brave. Also admire that her confidence has grown about her getting through it. Her being open about it indicates to me that she's very strong.

We're glad she had the courage to show her struggles to the world and express that she is doing much better. Also this video might help others with bipolar disorder and show them that they are not alone
